GRAM Way-finding

UX/UI

Prompt: Create a way-finding app for a place or event

Client: School Project | Grand Rapids Art Museum; is the beacon of arts in Grand Rapids and its mission is connecting people through art, creativity, and design. Their exhibitions, events, and educational programming span topics, mediums, and genres to connect with and invite a wide variety of audiences. They are an arts venue, resource, and educational institution for the entire Grand Rapids community, the State of Michigan.

Media: Digital Kiosk

Challenge: Create an interaction that is seamless with the brand experience. Design a process and screens that don’t distract from the museum, art, or exhibits. Maintain accessibility for all ages and varying needs and build a user flow around what the target audience needs.

Solution: I designed the way-finding kiosk with a modernist design style to match the museum branding but to also let the art shine. I used the imagery of the exhibits as the focal point. The minimalist modernist style constructs a simple and easy-to-navigate interface eliminating frustration and leading the visitors to a positive experience.

Role: Created the entirety of the project
