WEB DESIGN

Prompt: Redesign an existing news website

Client: School Project | Space.com; Space.com is the premier source of space exploration, innovation, and astronomy news, chronicling (and celebrating) humanity's ongoing expansion across the final frontier. We transport our visitors across the solar system and beyond through accessible, comprehensive coverage of the latest news and discoveries.

Media: Website Prototype

Challenge: Design an organized system for a news website. Arrange a variety of categories, large amounts of content, and diverse sets of information in a way that is digestible and easy to navigate.

Solution: I wanted to make the website feel like a visit to space. The design's goal was to make the expanse of outer space feel reachable and like the user was exploring the galaxies. I changed the website from light to dark and let the content shine. I created extra features geared toward what people want to follow and how they interact with news. These features include planet feature pages, tracking the planets, sky watches, and the ability to follow sky events.

Role: Created the entirety of the project
